Searching and Filtering Nominations

The nominations view provides powerful search and filtering capabilities to help you quickly find the nominations you need. This guide explains how to use these features effectively.

Search Functionality

The search bar at the top of the dashboard allows you to search across programmes. When you enter a search term, matching results will be highlighted in the results and the table will dynamically adjust to show relevant columns containing matches.

Search Scope

You can control the scope of your search using the dropdown menu next to the search bar:

  • Current Programme: Searches only within the currently active programme
  • Open Programmes: Searches across all programmes that are not archived
  • All of your Programmes: Searches across all programmes you have access to

Filtering Options

The system provides several default ways to filter nominations and some which are based on the configuration of your programme where the form uses a dropdown element. You can combine multiple filters together to narrow down the search results like an 'and' operator: e.g. Nominations which are Unviewed and have the status Pending.

Default options include:

  • Viewed: Nominations you have already viewed
  • Unviewed: Nominations you haven't viewed yet (indicated by a blue dot)
  • Flagged: Nominations marked as problematic (indicated by a flag icon)
  • Unflagged: Nominations not marked as problematic
  • Status dropdown lets you filter nominations by their current status in the workflow (e.g., Pending, Approved, Rejected)

Sorting Nominations

You can sort the nominations you see by clicking on any column header with a sort indicator, which is usually underlined and in bold text. If you need to see more results, you can adjust the 'page size' at the end of the table. By default, we return the first 25 entries to keep the page speed snappy.

Exporting

When you export nominations using the CSV or PDF options, the export will include all nominations currently visible in your filtered/searched view and maintain the same sort order as displayed in the table. This enables you to see exactly what you're exporting. The CSV option will include things like notes and is recommended if you want a copy of all your data for backup or further editing. The PDF option is useful if you want to print a copy for offline use.
